3 N/4D with
River rafting/Trekking/Rock Climbing/Caving and lots of fun.
Day 1:
We try to
start early and drive down from Delhi to Devprayag to reach by 10:30 am. Begin
rafting from Devprayag to camp. This is a long calm section for approx 3-4 hrs.
A perfect stretch making for plenty of body-surfing, entirely in a gorge it is
especially good for photography/bird watching / wild life & a beach lunch.
Arrive at River Camp by teatime. Relax & enjoy the evening campfire. Night
at River Camp.
However, in case
we reach late, we would commence rafting from Shivpuri itself. However in this
case you’d have to walk down to the camp. This is roughly a ½ hr walk downhill
all the way.
Day 2:
Spend the day at the camp
indulging in the various activities that only we can provide.
'Bridge rappelling': Ten minutes
away from the camp is a sturdy stone bridge of British times across the
waterfall. Here we do rappelling down the bridge. A climbing rope will be
suspended from the middle of this bridge, which drops approx 100 ft into the
gorge below. You will be put into a harness & then taught how to rappel
down the rope. You can control your own speed & also stop in the middle
hanging like a pendulum & enjoy the view. There will be a live
demonstration before you attempt to do the same. Once down you just scramble
across the rocks to dry land. The whole exercise will take 3-4 hrs
'Rock climbing & Kayaking': Around
our camp site are a variety of natural rock faces & some really interesting
rocks. For those interested we would like to show you the fundamentals of rock-
climbing & there will also be a little introduction to kayaking in the
pool.
''Canyoning' : Ten minutes away
from the camp in the opposite direction of the bridge is a beautiful waterfall.
It is in this that we propose the absolutely & refreshingly new sport of
'canyoning'. This entails rappelling down the waterfall. Again there will be a
demonstration before you can attempt to do the same. This exercise will take
approx 4-5 hrs.
Besides the above activities one can play
beach volleyball, badminton etc at the camp itself.
Day 3:
This day is reserved for white
water rafting. After breakfast you start from camp. You can excersise a choice
of rafting from camp to Shivpuri (2 stretches) or Marine Drive to N.I.M (2
stretches) packed river lunch will be served at an appropriate place & you
could get into your vehicles & proceed to camp.
Day 4:
On this the last day of your
stay, you can exercise the choice of going for an additional section of rafting
or catching up with the remaining camp activities before proceeding to your
onward destination.
Accommodation
will be in Swiss cottage tents, on a twin sharing basis. For toilets we have
dry- toilets, which are most suitable for camping & are also the best for
the environment. Our cuisine includes Indian, Chinese & Continental food,
depending on the duration of your stay & the discretion of our chefs.
